Ministry of Education to Request Investigation into Suspected Leak of September Mock Exam Papers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of Education announced on the 3rd that it is pushing for an investigation to take strict measures against those involved and the schools regarding the leak of the September College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) mock exam papers.
According to the Ministry of Education and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, a complaint was filed to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's National Petition Center claiming that the world geography question paper for the social studies section of the September mock exam was leaked.
The Ministry of Education plans to proceed with follow-up procedures at the relevant Office of Education, which oversees the mock exam, including measures against those involved and the schools based on the investigation results. Additionally, if there are institutional improvements needed in exam paper management and security, necessary measures will be reviewed.
