Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee Awards Scholarships to 19 University Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee announced on the 2nd that it has awarded scholarships for the second semester to 19 university and graduate students majoring in finance and insurance, following the first semester.
Undergraduate students received 4 million KRW per semester, and graduate students received 5 million KRW per semester. These students, who are majoring in financial insurance studies at their respective universities and graduate schools, have demonstrated excellent academic achievement and are expected to grow into experts who will lead the domestic finance and insurance industry in the future.
The Life Insurance Social Contribution Scholarship Project is a talent development initiative funded by social contribution funds contributed annually by life insurance companies from a portion of their profits. From 2009 to 2020, over 12 years, a total of 10,610 recipients have been awarded scholarships amounting to 12.9 billion KRW.
