Shinhan Bank Accepting Applications for 'Shinhan Family Ten Thousand Won Sharing Donation' Contest Until the 26th of This Month
Conducting Biannual Sharing Grant Projects Funded by Employee Donations from Salaries
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Shinhan Bank announced on the 2nd that it is accepting applications for the second half of the year for its employee donation program, ‘Shinhan Family Ten Thousand Won Sharing Donation,’ until September 26.
‘Shinhan Family Ten Thousand Won Sharing Donation’ is a program that has been supporting socially marginalized groups with 7.2 billion KRW funded by employees donating 10,000 KRW each month from their salaries, based on a labor-management agreement between Shinhan Bank and the labor union since 2012. It is an employee donation program that conducts two sharing grant projects annually, in the first and second halves of the year.
This second half sharing grant project will provide a total of 300 million KRW to social contribution projects that can offer assistance related to ▲livelihood ▲self-reliance ▲education ▲medical care, targeting the elderly, disabled, and multicultural families who need social attention and support.
Applications can be submitted through the Naver Happybean ‘Shinhan Family Ten Thousand Won Sharing Donation’ campaign page. After submitting a project plan, organizations can receive support of up to 10 million KRW per organization within a total of 300 million KRW through a selection committee review. Additionally, netizens who check the campaign details or leave warm comments on the campaign page will be given donation beans that can be donated to public interest organizations.
The ‘Shinhan Family Ten Thousand Won Sharing Donation’ grant project marks its 10th anniversary this year. So far, 1,004 public interest organizations have been supported through the sharing grant projects, with approximately 6.1 billion KRW delivered.
