[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] A woman in her 20s, intoxicated, has sparked public outrage by verbally abusing a family taking a walk in an apartment complex. Notably, this woman also indiscriminately assaulted a man in his 40s in front of his children.
On the 1st, 'Channel A' reported that Ms. A, a woman in her 20s, swung her fists at Mr. B, a man in his 40s, while heavily intoxicated.
According to the report, around 11 p.m. on July 30th at an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Ms. A suddenly handed a beer can to Mr. B's family who were out for a walk.
When Mr. B refused, Ms. A threw the beer can and hit Mr. B's head and other areas with her fists and a cellphone.
When Mr. B tried to stop Ms. A from approaching other family members, she again resorted to violence. Mr. B's middle school son and kindergarten daughter had no choice but to watch their father being assaulted.
Ms. A's assault continued for 10 minutes until the police arrived at the scene. During this time, Mr. B did not resist much. It was reported that Mr. B feared being falsely accused as a sexual offender if he defended or restrained her.
Even a month after the incident, Mr. B's family has reportedly not received an apology from Ms. A.
