Hansome 'TheHansome.com' Wins Main Prize at the '2021 Red Dot Design Award'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Hansome, a fashion specialist company under Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 1st that its premium fashion platform ‘The Hansome.com’ won the main prize in the Brand & Communication category at the ‘2021 Red Dot Design Award’.
The ‘Red Dot Design Award’ is an international design competition that began in Germany in 1955 and is considered one of the world’s top three design awards alongside Germany’s ‘IF Design Award’ and the United States’ ‘IDEA’.
Every year, works are submitted from brands around the world, and winners are selected by evaluating excellence, creativity, and functionality in three categories: ‘Product Design,’ ‘Brand & Communication,’ and ‘Design Concept.’
This year’s Red Dot Award received over 7,800 entries from more than 60 countries, with over 50 global design experts participating in a blind review process.
The Hansome.com underwent a major revamp last year to celebrate its 5th anniversary. In particular, it has been praised for implementing a luxurious design for customers by utilizing line graphics, exclusive fonts, and sophisticated colors.
