[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Shilla Duty Free is starting to sell surplus duty-free products on 'SSF Shop,' Samsung C&T's official fashion mall, following 'Coupang.'
On the 1st, Shilla Duty Free announced that it is diversifying its sales channels by expanding the sale of surplus duty-free products to SSF Shop.
Shilla Duty Free explained, "To enhance accessibility and convenience for the main customer base, the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), we have expanded our sales channels to SSF Shop following Coupang." Through SSF Shop, Shilla Duty Free will sell about 950 surplus duty-free products from a total of 21 brands. Popular items from luxury fashion, watches, and fashion accessories brands such as Montblanc, Bottega Veneta, Oris, Ferragamo, Givenchy, and Balenciaga will be showcased. Representative products include ▲Montblanc card holders ▲Ferragamo men's clutch bags ▲Givenchy Pandora medium bags ▲Gucci eyewear sunglasses. Prices are discounted up to 79% compared to the regular prices of surplus duty-free products. The product lineup of surplus duty-free goods on SSF Shop will gradually increase.
Even without traveling abroad, customers can find Shilla Duty Free's surplus duty-free products by searching for 'Shilla Duty Free' on SSF Shop. Products are delivered to customers after going through import customs clearance procedures. All products sold are official Shilla Duty Free items sold in accordance with the Korea Customs Service's domestic sales policy, allowing even those without travel plans to purchase them.
Shilla Duty Free had been selling surplus duty-free products only through its own channel, 'Shilla Trip,' but last month began selling on Coupang, its first external channel. Popular Shilla Duty Free brands on Coupang include Bally, Ferragamo, Tumi, Michael Kors, and Hamilton, mainly fashion accessories.
