Jeon Nam Fire Headquarters Chief Ma Jae-yoon Inspects Fire Prevention at Logistics Centers Ahead of Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Ma Jaeyoon, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, visited the Jangseong Complex Logistics Center to conduct an on-site inspection for fire prevention in preparation for the Chuseok holiday.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 31st, this visit was carried out to create a safe environment by preemptively removing fire risk factors at fire-vulnerable facilities around the Chuseok holiday on the 21st, and to raise fire safety awareness among facility personnel.
Director Ma checked the maintenance and management status of the fire facilities within the center together with the head of the Jangseong Complex Logistics Center and other facility officials.
In particular, he urged special caution when handling electricity and fire following the logistics warehouse fire in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, in June.
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters plans to conduct special fire inspections on about 600 multi-use facilities for one month until the 23rd of next month, including 26 warehouse facilities, 82 multi-use facilities, 25 vaccination centers, and 467 facilities for vulnerable evacuees. From the 17th of next month, they will enter a special alert duty for seven days.
Ma Jaeyoon, head of the Fire Headquarters, said, “Since fires in logistics facilities have a high potential to spread into large-scale fires, it is essential to be thoroughly prepared for emergencies such as fires at all times,” and added, “Please do your best to prevent fires during the Chuseok holiday period.”
