Naju City - Samyoung ENG Co., Ltd. - LOCBIT Join Hands to Support Export of Artificial Solar Light Patent Lighting
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 31st that it has signed an agreement with Samyoung ENG Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jung-ok) and the American company LOCBIT to promote and sell the artificial sunlight LED lighting product ‘XenoSun’ in the U.S. market.
The signing ceremony held on the 30th at the city hall’s Ihwa Room was attended by about 10 officials, including Jeong Chan-gyun, Deputy Mayor of Naju, CEO Kim Jung-ok, Park Ho-chan, LOCBIT Asia Representative, and Kim Hak-jae, Head of Energy Valley Promotion Office at Korea Electric Power Corporation.
Samyoung ENG, headquartered in the city, is a patented and procurement-registered company for the LED product ‘XenoSun Light,’ which has been verified by a nationally accredited institution for antiviral and sterilization effects as well as photobiological safety.
The XenoSun Light lighting is an advanced lighting technology that most closely resembles artificial sunlight and has a relatively low eye fatigue weighting. Its advantage lies in its 99.9% sterilization effect through harmless light wavelengths to the human body.
Earlier, since May, Samyoung ENG has installed the product in numerous public institutions and companies, including the Green Energy Research Institute and Jeollanam-do Provincial Office.
LOCBIT is an energy platform company based on big data and artificial intelligence analysis, providing electricity energy reduction solutions to medium and large U.S. companies, including Walmart.
Both companies agreed to exchange sales channel information and product development data for successful business operation, sales, and promotion, while Naju City will strive to provide administrative support to secure smooth export routes.
Deputy Mayor Jeong Chan-gyun said, “XenoSun Light is expected to have export competitiveness as a product suitable for environments vulnerable to viruses and bacteria such as COVID-19,” and added, “We will spare no administrative support so that Samyoung ENG, a local company, can grow from a promising small and medium enterprise in the province to a global LED lighting company through this agreement.”
