DB Insurance Wins Award for 5 Consecutive Years at National Quality Control Circle Competition
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] DB Insurance announced on the 31st that it has won awards for five consecutive years for the first time in the financial industry at the National Quality Circle Competition.
The National Quality Circle Competition is sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Standards Association, held annually to promote quality innovation and improvement in industrial sites.
DB Insurance won the highest award, the Gold Prize, in both the office indirect and service sectors, and the Bronze Prize in the creative improvement sector. In particular, the SmartUBI team in the office indirect sector received the Gold Prize in 2017 and then won the Gold Prize for three consecutive years from 2019 to 2021.
This year, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to the inspection and review tasks of automobile black boxes was highly evaluated.
The Emergency Dispatch Reception Self-Up team, which participated in the service sector, also won the Gold Prize for the second consecutive time. This service, which combined ARS with the consent process of drivers involved in traffic accidents, automated about 28,000 tasks per month.
The Standard Agreement Innovation team in the creative improvement sector newly presented a work model applying machine learning to long-term insurance accident investigations.
Since CEO Kim Jung-nam took office, DB Insurance has systematically carried out company-wide service quality innovation activities, expanding quality management with achievements such as winning the National Quality Award for the first time in the financial industry in 2015, producing the first National Quality Master in the insurance industry in 2016, winning the Gold Prize at the Quality Circle Competition for the first time in the insurance industry in 2017, and winning awards for five consecutive years at the National Quality Circle Competition in 2021.
