Chungnam, 8 Consecutive Years of Excellence in Government Joint Evaluation in the Forestry Sector
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province announced on the 31st that it has been selected as an excellent institution for eight consecutive years in the 'Joint Government Evaluation of Local Governments in the Forestry Sector' hosted by the Korea Forest Service.
The province received high evaluations for the performance of eight detailed forestry projects in the assessment.
Previously, to achieve the performance indicators in the forestry sector, the province concentrated its administrative efforts and met targets in six detailed indicators, including the establishment rate of landslide prevention and response systems, achievement rate of sustainable forest resource development, performance rate of forest road facilities, achievement rate of forest fire prevention, and forest protection enforcement and restoration performance.

Lee Sang-chun, Director of the Forestry Resources Division of the province, said, "Being selected as an excellent institution for eight consecutive years in the government evaluation is a result recognizing the excellence of Chungnam's forestry administration," and added, "The province will continue to systematically promote mid- to long-term policies such as the creation of melliferous forests to generate results."
