Wavve to Air 'Korea Broadcasting Awards Nominee Special Exhibition' in September
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Online video service (OTT) Wavve will organize a special section where viewers can watch the nominated works for the ‘Broadcasting Awards,’ which selects the best broadcasting programs.
Wavve announced on the 31st that it will run the ‘Korean Broadcasting Awards Nominee Section’ for one month starting September 1. Celebrating its 48th edition, the Korean Broadcasting Awards is the longest-running broadcasting awards ceremony in Korea and will hold an online screening for the first time this year. In addition to dramas and entertainment content provided by Wavve, the section will include programs such as current affairs reports and documentaries from regional terrestrial broadcasters, introducing a total of 51 works.
Viewers can find nominated works by category in the Wavve special section. ▲Drama category: ‘Penthouse,’ ‘Once Again,’ ‘River Where the Moon Rises,’ ‘A Goal Has Been Set’ ▲Entertainment variety: ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,’ ‘2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,’ ‘I Live Alone’ ▲Celebrity entertainment: ‘Newly Released Convenient Store Restaurant,’ ‘Trot National Competition,’ ‘How Do You Play?’ ▲New media: ‘Civilization Express,’ ‘Ding Dong Dang University,’ ‘The Real Story,’ ‘Cereal,’ and more.
Additionally, viewers can explore nominated works in various genres such as news reporting, current affairs, culture and arts education, lifestyle information, documentaries, music composition, and children’s programs. The total number of works provided in the special section is 331, of which 105 are available for free members to watch.
