40 Union Protesters Undergoing COVID-19 Testing
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] When the irregular workers' union members of Hyundai Steel suddenly occupied the control center of Hyundai Steel's Dangjin Steelworks in Chungnam, one security company employee who actively responded was diagnosed with COVID-19, prompting the Dangjin City Health Center to begin testing the union members who are occupying the site.
On the afternoon of the 30th, the Dangjin City Health Center set up a mobile screening clinic near the Dangjin Steelworks control center and collected specimens from about 40 union members who were protesting.
The test results are expected to be released on the morning of the 31st.
