Jinju City-Korea Ceramic Technology Institute, Non-Face-to-Face Business Agreement for 'Water Reuse Facility Installation'
Cooperation to Activate Reuse of Available Clean Water
in Response to Drought and Water Pollution Caused by Climate Change
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it has signed a non-face-to-face business agreement with the Korea Ceramic Technology Institute to successfully promote the ‘Water Reuse Facility Installation Project’ to promote water reuse and ensure the sustainability of water resources.
Since 2019, the city has been conducting feasibility studies and establishing basic plans for the water reuse facility installation project, and is pilot-operating the project with a total budget of 4.2 billion KRW invested in three locations: Korea Ceramic Technology Institute, Jinju Sports Complex, and Jinju Indoor Swimming Pool.
Through this agreement, the city will support the Korea Ceramic Technology Institute with budget and administrative power, and the Korea Ceramic Technology Institute will efficiently utilize water resources by installing water reuse facilities and receive benefits such as reductions in water and sewage fees according to Article 7 of the ‘Jinju City Water Reuse Promotion and Support Ordinance.’
The Korea Ceramic Technology Institute promised to cooperate to ensure the smooth progress of the water reuse facility installation project and plans to actively implement the government’s water reuse policy by participating in the activation of the reuse of clean water available in response to drought and water pollution caused by climate change.

A Jinju City official stated, “Through this pilot project, we will do our best to analyze the effects of the water reuse facility installation project, promote it, and encourage changes in citizens’ awareness of water reuse and voluntary participation.”
