16 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Gwangju on the 30th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The number of new COVID-19 cases in the Gwangju area continues to exceed double digits.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City as of 2 p.m. on the 30th, 16 people were confirmed positive, classified as cases 4035 to 4050.
By infection route, there was ▲1 person related to a medical institution in Dong-gu ▲4 people related to testing of foreigners in Gwangsan-gu ▲1 person related to confirmed cases from other cities and provinces ▲7 people related to previously confirmed cases.
Also included were ▲1 imported case under investigation for infection route ▲2 symptomatic testers.
Notably, cases related to previously confirmed patients stood out: cases 4037, 4038, and 4040 were confirmed to have had direct contact with case 4027, who is a family member.
Case 4047 was reported to have had indirect contact with colleague case 3938, and cases 4049 and 4050 each had contact with acquaintances cases 3985 and 4019, respectively.
Imported case 4036 was tested upon arrival at Incheon Airport the previous day and confirmed positive on the same day.
Looking at the cumulative cases by type this month, those related to pubs and similar establishments in Gwangsan-gu were the highest at 85 cases.
Next were cases related to testing of foreigners in Gwangsan-su (71 cases), cases related to restaurants and saunas imported from the Seoul metropolitan area (45 cases), and cases related to an insurance company in Seo-gu (35 cases), in that order.
By the same criteria, the age group with the most confirmed cases was people in their 20s (173 cases). Especially among the 20s and 30s age group, who have wide activity ranges and high activity levels, there were 264 cases, and among the middle-aged 40s and 50s group, 207 cases occurred.
The age group with the least spread was under 10 years old (35 cases).
Daily confirmed cases have generally remained in the 20s, recording 12 on Monday the 23rd last week, then 23 on the 24th, and 28 on the 25th.
