The seven organizations, including the Korea Newspaper Association, Korea Newspaper and Broadcasting Editors Association, Korea Journalists Association, Korea Women Journalists Association, Korea Internet Newspaper Association, Gwankhun Club, and the Korean Journalists Association, stated, "Major global press organizations such as the World Association of Newspapers, International Federation of Journalists, Reporters Without Borders, as well as domestic press organizations, opposition parties, legal circles, academia, and civic groups have all opposed this across ideological and partisan lines, but the ruling party continues its legislative rampage without stopping."
