[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] PKF Seohyun Accounting Corporation announced on the 30th that it held the 4th Seohyun Energy Forum on the 27th at the main conference room of its headquarters on Teheran-ro, Seoul, under the theme of "The Role of Carbon Neutrality and the Hydrogen Economy."

Professor Kim Jinsu, the presenter, proposed four tasks that must precede to achieve the social goal of carbon neutrality through the activation of the hydrogen economy. First, he emphasized the importance of securing competitively priced hydrogen. Second, securing stable supply sources is crucial. Third, the production and supply of standardized hydrogen through technological development and international cooperation. Lastly, future hydrogen demand must be objectively analyzed and reflected in the national energy demand analysis system.
Discussants suggested that a national overseas resource development policy should be promoted to secure green hydrogen, based on domestic renewable power generation facility construction technology, and blue hydrogen, which utilizes natural gas and coal, at appropriate prices.
