"It's Time to Support Sim Sang-jung and the Justice Party Generously"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 29th, Sim Sang-jung, a member of the Justice Party, officially declared her candidacy for the presidential election, stating, "This election must be one that ends the winner-takes-all politics of the two major parties," and urged, "Please replace politics, not just the administration."
On the same day, Sim held an online declaration ceremony via Zoom video conference and said, "It is time to replace the 34-year-old worn-out two-party system," emphasizing this point.
Sim said, "Many people ask me if a small party like the Justice Party can govern the country," and stressed, "The process of the minority changing the majority is exactly political replacement. I am confident." She continued, "To address transitional challenges such as the climate crisis and inequality, the capabilities of a single president, a single party, or a single administration are insufficient," adding, "We must move toward a parliamentary system where diverse citizens' opinions are reflected, and a responsible coalition government based on a multi-party system."
Sim put 'overcoming the climate crisis' as her top presidential election agenda. She said, "We must end the fossil energy system that has lasted over 200 years," and added, "The alternative to fossil energy is not nuclear power but renewable energy." She further stated, "By 2030, renewable energy will be responsible for half of electricity production, and we will start an energy revolution."
Along with this, she promised to work on resolving social conflicts caused by inequality, gender conflicts, and generational conflicts through new labor laws and the public concept of land.

Sim said, "We have already given enough compensation to the industrialization parties and democratization parties," and added, "The way to turn disappointment in the Candlelight government into hope is to make a progressive party candidate the president." She continued, "Until now, you have written me, Sim Sang-jung, and the Justice Party in small letters, but now it is time to write us generously and largely," emphasizing, "The opportunity given to me and the Justice Party will expand beyond the Justice Party to become the power of all political forces that want to truly change the world."
