Geoje City Secures 12.2 Billion KRW from 2022 National Balanced Development Special Account... 23 Projects Accelerated
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 27th that it secured 12.2 billion KRW from the 2022 National Balanced Development Special Account budget for 23 projects, including the Hwado car ferry construction project.
The major projects secured by the city include 1.1 billion KRW for Geoje City Jangseungpo Library, 1.1 billion KRW for the Living SOC Complex Project, 5.2 billion KRW for the Regional Unit Hub Development Project, 900 million KRW for the Agricultural Technology Center relocation, 1.2 billion KRW for the Hwado car ferry construction project, and 400 million KRW for the Silri Village Clam Experience Center project.
In particular, a new project worth 1.7 billion KRW was included for special situation regional development projects targeting development islands, which is expected to enhance local living infrastructure and increase regional income.
