‘The Secret to Success’ Unveiled... Busan Failure Expo Held
“Ma Gaenta (It's Okay)! Turning Failure into an Asset” Online Event on the 29th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Failure Expo, which openly showcases 'failure,' will be held in Busan on the 29th.
Busan City announced on the 27th that it will hold the '2021 Busan Failure Expo' in a non-face-to-face format.
The Failure Expo is a unique exhibition that shares experiences of failure to socially capitalize on them. It is an event first held by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2018 to change perceptions of failure and encourage retrying.
This year's expo will be conducted as a non-audience, non-face-to-face event considering COVID-19 spread prevention and social distancing level 4.
The main programs include performances by local artists, a talk show 'Ma~gaeanta' (featuring comedian Song Jun-geun), and announcements of policy results on topics proposed by citizens.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the LG HelloVision Busan Video Center, and participants can join via Zoom by pre-registering on the Busan Failure Expo website.
The event video will be broadcast from midnight on the 10th of next month through the expo website, LG HelloVision Busan Broadcasting, Bada TV, YouTube, and others.
Lee Ki-jong, Director of Busan City's Cooperation Policy Division, said, "I hope this will be an opportunity to break away from the perception that failure is defeat and to see it as a chance for a new start and retry."
Busan City will continue the 'Relay Support Wings Challenge Campaign' until the end of the year to create a social atmosphere that overcomes failure and encourages retrying.
This challenge is an SNS campaign that re-recognizes the value of failure and supports retrying through social capitalization.
On the 25th, Busan City's communication character 'Boogi' participated as the first runner to announce the start of the challenge.
Starting with comedian Kim Jun-ho, executive chairman of the Busan International Comedy Festival, about 10 famous comedians including Kim Jae-wook and Kim Dae-beom joined.
