Dosi Gongyu Platform and NHN to Jointly Develop 'AI Market for Small Business Owners'
[Asia Economy, Reporter Cho Inkyung] On the 26th, Dosi Gongyu Platform and NHN held a strategic partnership agreement ceremony at the Korean-style unmanned convenience store 'AISS Go 24', located in Godeung-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province. The ceremony was related to the government's 'Experiential Smart Market Service for Small Business Owners' initiative, which targets neighborhood supermarkets.
The Experiential Smart Market for Small Business Owners is a project led by the Small Enterprise and Market Service under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Starting this year and continuing for five years, the project aims to transform 4,000 neighborhood supermarkets across the country into smart supermarkets. By integrating smart technology that enables 24-hour unmanned sales into family-run corner stores, the initiative is expected to reduce labor costs and increase sales.
The two companies plan to build an unmanned store solution platform specifically for small business owners, providing services optimized for their needs.
NHN, in particular, will gradually incorporate the following features into the Experiential Smart Market for Small Business Owners: store entry authentication using facial recognition, integration of NHN's facial recognition technology for adult verification in AI-powered liquor vending machines, fortune-telling information services via facial recognition, integration with Payco mobile payment, and a smart unmanned store startup model for small business owners.
Dosi Gongyu Platform and NHN also agreed to begin full-scale cooperation, starting with the opening of the second Korean-style unmanned convenience store 'AISS Go 24' at the U Space shopping complex in Pangyo Techno Valley, Seongnam.
Park Jinseok, CEO of Dosi Gongyu Platform, expressed his expectations, saying, "Through our business collaboration with NHN, we can accelerate the government's digitalization project for neighborhood stores by applying NHN's diverse digital technologies and content."
