Inhaling carbon monoxide blocks oxygen supply, causing severe aftereffects to the brain, heart, and major organs, and in severe cases, can lead to death.
Looking at the number of suicide deaths by method in Ham-an County over the past five years, gas poisoning suicide deaths rank third in proportion.
Accordingly, the health center designated 20 lodging facilities in the area as "Life Love Practice Stores," encouraging the installation of carbon monoxide detectors and providing education on the eight signs of suicide.
Additionally, by placing mental health crisis counseling phone information and promotional materials in the rooms, they ensured that counseling can be accessed anytime when needed.
