Live Online Broadcast via Foundation YouTube on the 25th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Welfare Foundation announced on the 25th that it will hold the 3rd Seoul Social Isolation Support Forum to create a platform for public discussion to coordinate policies for preventing solitary deaths.
The forum, held under the theme "New Connections Created by Technological Advancements," will be broadcast live on the foundation's YouTube channel on the day, and any citizen interested in social isolation support policies and solutions can participate without a separate application.
The forum will begin with a keynote speech titled "Communication, Exploring Humans Do Not Become Isolated" by Professor Kim Sang-gyun of Kangwon National University, who recently gained attention for publishing 'Metaverse.' This will be followed by presentations and discussions on smart technologies currently used to prevent solitary deaths.
During the case presentation session, various applications will be introduced, including smart technology-based solitary death prevention projects, IoT-based safety management solutions for vulnerable elderly, non-contact relationship-building for youth, and a KakaoTalk channel-based service to find isolated neighbors, followed by discussions.
