[Asia Economy reporters Ryu Jeong-min and Lee Ji-eun] On the 24th, President Moon Jae-in appointed Kang Kwon-chan, Senior Administrative Officer of the Planning Secretariat, as the Secretary for Citizen Participation at the Blue House; Kim Jeong-hoe, Director General of Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as the Secretary for New Southern and New Northern Policies; and Kim Yi-tak, Standing Commissioner of the Central Land Expropriation Committee at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, as the Secretary for Land and Transport.
Park Kyung-mi, spokesperson for the Blue House, stated, "The newly appointed secretaries are individuals who have accumulated experience and expertise at the Blue House and various ministries, and they have a good understanding of the government's national philosophy and key issues." She added, "We expect them to diligently fulfill the roles and responsibilities assigned to each secretariat." The new secretaries are scheduled to be officially appointed on the 25th.
Meanwhile, Secretary Kang graduated from Seogwipo High School in Jeju and majored in Political Science and Diplomacy at Korea University. He previously served as Senior Administrative Officer at the Blue House's Office for National Policy Planning.
Secretary Kim Jeong-hoe, who passed the 37th Administrative Examination, graduated from Daesung High School in Seoul and majored in Economics at Seoul National University. He has held positions such as Director of Industrial Technology Convergence Policy and Director of Resource Industry Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Secretary Kim Yi-tak, who passed the 36th Administrative Examination, graduated from Gwangseong High School in Seoul and majored in Economics at Seoul National University. He has served as Director of Aviation Policy and Head of the Urban Regeneration Project Planning Group at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
