Incheon Airport Opens COVID-19 Testing Center at Terminal 1 Passenger Building
East Side of Outdoor Area on 1st Floor of Transportation Center
Additional Inspection Center Opening This September
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 23rd that it will operate a COVID-19 testing center at Terminal 1 of Incheon Airport starting from the 25th, following the testing center at Terminal 2.
Incheon Airport Corporation explained that the testing center is being opened to improve convenience for departing passengers and to respond timely to the recovery of air travel demand. The Terminal 1 COVID-19 testing center is operated by Ewha Medical Foundation and is located on the east side of the outdoor area on the first floor of the Terminal 1 Transportation Center. In September, an additional testing center operated by Myeongji Medical Foundation is scheduled to open in the west area of the Terminal 1 Transportation Center.
The newly opened east side testing center at Terminal 1, the planned west side testing center at Terminal 1, and the currently operating Terminal 2 testing center (operated by Inha University Hospital) will all offer the same testing methods and prices, and can be used after making a reservation on the website.
The operating hours of the Terminal 1 testing center are daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding lunch time (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.). The Terminal 2 testing center operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and public holidays, also excluding lunch time.
The testing fees, including consultation, test cost, and issuance of a negative certificate, are 126,000 KRW for PCR tests and 66,000 KRW for antigen tests. Additional fees apply during weekends, public holidays, and weekday mornings (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.).

Kim Kyung-wook, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, stated, “Reflecting the future increase in air travel demand, we will secure testing capacity for at least 20% of all departing passengers at Incheon Airport’s COVID-19 testing centers to ensure that domestic and international travelers can use Incheon Airport safely and conveniently.”
