Kang Myung-soo, President of the Korea Standards Association, Joins Campaign Against Racism
Join the Global Campaign 'Live Together'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Standards Association announced that Chairman Kang Myung-soo will participate in the global anti-racism campaign 'Live Together' on the 23rd.
The 'Live Together' campaign is a global initiative jointly promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNESCO, launched in response to the surge in racism and hate after COVID-19, and aims to foster solidarity and inclusion among global citizens through the UNESCO International Forum Against Racism and Discrimination.
Chairman Kang, who took over the campaign by the nomination of Yoon Sang-heum, President of the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, emphasized, "Differences in race, skin color, and appearance are simply differences, and no discrimination or inequality should exist through respect for diversity," adding, "Our industrial sector must collectively strive to establish a safe working environment without discrimination for foreign workers in the industry to prevent casualties and accidents."
