View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Hong Joon-pyo, a preliminary presidential candidate from the People Power Party, sent a warning message to some conservative-leaning YouTubers to "exercise restraint."
On the 22nd, Hong wrote on his Facebook, "You must understand that anything that could hinder regime change should be stopped. Please exercise restraint."
He began by saying, "Third-rate YouTube coin promoters contributed to the crushing defeat in the last general election by praising Representative Hwang Kyo-ahn and falsely promising an overwhelming victory."
He continued, "It is truly regrettable that, ahead of the presidential election, distorted perspectives and sensational thumbnails are being used to falsely incite right-wing elders and provide baseless false hope."
He added, "Such fake YouTube channels should rightfully be expelled, but since both those who are incited and those who incite live with the same mindset, it is really difficult to say anything."
