Lotte Department Store Launches Chuseok Gift Set Sales for 24 Days from the 27th
Collaboration with National Artisans Focused on Meat and Fresh Produce ... Ultra-Premium Wines Over 10 Million Won Included
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Lotte Department Store announced on the 22nd that it will hold a Chuseok gift set main sales event for 24 days from the 27th of this month to the 19th of next month at stores nationwide.
As concerns over the spread of COVID-19 are expected to increase demand for sending gifts non-face-to-face instead of visiting hometowns this Chuseok as well, the store will present a total of about 1,000 products, including unique items reflecting recent trends and a 20% increase in popular meat and fruit items from last Lunar New Year.
First, they secured quantities of rare items produced in limited quantities domestically and prepared gifts that can only be found at Lotte Department Store through collaboration with master craftsmen and renowned villages nationwide. Representative products include the 'Jeju Black Hanwoo Royal Set (2kg)', limited to only 1,200 heads, which is 0.04% of all Hanwoo cattle, and the 'Hanwoo & Ulleung Myeong-i Set (Hanwoo 1.5kg + Myeong-i Pickles 230g)' made in collaboration with master artisan 'Seong Myeong-rye', sold for 480,000 KRW and 390,000 KRW respectively. Also, the 'Food Avenue Naju Creative Pear Set (9 pieces, 7.5kg)' known for excellent sweetness and texture, and the 'Shine Muscat Set (6 pieces, 2kg)' by master artisan 'Kim Jin-su' will be offered in limited quantities per store.
Trendy health gift sets for the 20-30s MZ generation, who are emerging as a new consumer group, will also be sold. Collaborating with Seongsu-dong cafe 'Super Malcha', the 'Super Malcha Tea Ceremony Kit Set' is designed to enjoy tea ceremonies at home, and the 'Granola & Greek Yogurt Set', popular as a convenient health food among influencers, will be sold for 80,000 KRW and 54,000 KRW respectively.
Targeting the recently increasing 'camping tribe', unique gift sets that can be easily enjoyed even at campsites have been introduced. The 'Tomahawk & T-bone Steak Meal Kit Set (0.9kg)', including the Tomahawk steak which has become a hot topic on SNS due to its unique shape, will be sold for 159,000 KRW; the 'Hoengseong Hanwoo Gopchang Assorted Set (1.2kg)', allowing tasting of both small and large intestines, will be sold for 150,000 KRW; and the 'Camping Clam Grill Set', consisting of various clams and shrimp, will be sold for 100,000 KRW.
