Japan Reports Over 25,000 New COVID-19 Cases for Three Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Japan reported 25,492 new COVID-19 cases on the 21st, marking the third consecutive day with over 25,000 cases.
Since surpassing 25,000 cases for the first time on the 19th with a record high of 25,000 new infections, the upward trend has continued.
On this day, Tokyo reported 5,074 new cases, maintaining over 5,000 cases for the fourth consecutive day. Osaka also recorded 2,556 new cases, following its first time exceeding 2,000 cases on the 18th.
COVID-19 related deaths in Japan were reported as 9 in Kanagawa Prefecture, 6 in Chiba Prefecture, 6 in Tokyo, and 2 in Osaka, totaling 34 deaths.
