Crabs are being unloaded from a fishing boat that returned after fishing at Sinjin Port, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do last year.

On the day the flower crab fishing ban is lifted, Homeplus will showcase fresh flower crabs directly shipped from production areas such as Anheung Port in Taean, Chungnam, and Gyeokpo Port in Buan, Jeonbuk, at stores nationwide except for the Jeju region. To maintain optimal freshness, the crabs are stunned in cold water below 5 degrees Celsius and then packed in sawdust similar to sand, called 'stunned flower crabs.'
The autumn male flower crab, known for its firm flesh and full meat, is a representative popular autumn delicacy that accounts for about 25% of large mart seafood sales from the time the fishing ban is lifted. Since the stunned flower crabs are sent to stores nationwide via individual vehicles without passing through logistics centers, customers can enjoy crabs caught at dawn on their dinner table the same day.
