Abundant Discount Benefits for Songpa Residents in Danyang, Gongju, Yeoju, Andong, Gochang, Suncheon, and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] From now on, residents of Songpa-gu will be able to receive discounts when visiting major attractions in sister cities such as Suncheon and Gongju.
Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) announced on the 20th that Songpa-gu residents can use major attractions in the district’s domestic sister cities at discounted rates.
The district has signed agreements with domestic sister cities to mutually provide benefits for using major attractions and facilities to promote local tourism and enhance exchanges. By presenting an ID card proving residency in Songpa-gu, such as a resident registration card, residents can use local recreational facilities and tourist sites for free or at discounted rates.
First, in Danyang-gun, Chungbuk Province, Ondal Tourist Site, Darian Tourist Site, Auto Camping Site, and Mancheonha Skywalk offer discounts of 50%, while Soseonam and Sobaeksan Natural Recreation Forest offer discounts ranging from 30% to 50%.
In Gongju City, Chungnam Province, residents can use Gongsanseong Fortress, Songsan-ri Burial Mounds, and Seokjang-ri Museum free of charge. In Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, the Hwangpo Sailboat is available at a 30% discount, and in Andong City, Gyeongbuk Province, Hahoe Village and Dosan Seowon Confucian Academy offer admission at 40% to 80% discounted rates.
In Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk Province, Gochang Eupseong Fortress is available at a 50% discount, and in Suncheon City, Jeonnam Province, Suncheonman National Garden, Suncheonman Wetland, Nagan Eupseong Folk Village, and Suncheon Drama Film Set are also available at a 50% discount.
Additionally, Songpa-gu operates a “Sister City Direct Market” on its official website to promote the sale of excellent agricultural and specialty products from sister cities.
Furthermore, through consultations with local businesses, the district provides discount benefits for its tourist attractions to sister cities and Songpa-gu residents. Lotte World Adventure offers a 45% discount, Lotte World Mall Aquarium a 30% discount, and Lotte World Tower Seoul Sky a 30% discount. Hotel Park Habio is also available at a 60% to 70% discounted rate.
