Jangheung-gun Achieves 71% COVID-19 Vaccination Rate

Based on the total population (37,800), the first dose vaccination rate exceeds 62%, which is significantly higher than the national average first dose rate of 46% and Jeollanam-do's 55%. Among those aged 60 and over, 16,639 people have received the first dose, reaching 91%.
Jangheung-gun directly made advance reservations at health centers and town and township offices for all eligible populations, including elderly people aged 75 and over, middle-aged and older adults, and foreigners. They also selected high-risk groups for COVID-19 infection, such as workers in courier, transportation, and public hygiene businesses, as well as public institution employees dealing with the public, as autonomous vaccination targets by the local government, actively promoting early vaccination.
Furthermore, to increase the vaccination rate, they encouraged vaccination through sending guidance text messages, banners, and village broadcasts targeting those who refused or had not yet received the vaccine. In particular, the first dose vaccination rate for those aged 60 to 74 reached 94%, and the second dose is also progressing rapidly.
