Road Traffic Authority and Gyeonggi Job Foundation Sign Business Agreement for Delivery Workers' Safety
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korea Road Traffic Authority and the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 19th to create a safe working environment for delivery workers and to promote a desirable traffic culture.
Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to cooperate in administrative support necessary for delivery worker safety education, awareness improvement campaigns for establishing a safe traffic culture, and other promotional events.
The Korea Road Traffic Authority will organize educational courses to cultivate traffic safety awareness among delivery workers and provide instructors, while the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation will be responsible for recruiting delivery workers who wish to receive education and providing training venues.
The education is prepared as a specialized course for delivery workers, including content for two-wheeled vehicle drivers within the Authority’s existing penalty reduction education, and also offers training to cultivate safety education instructors for two-wheeled vehicle drivers.
Furthermore, both organizations will collaborate to create jobs in the traffic sector within Gyeonggi-do for holders of special traffic licenses, professional driving instructors, and middle-aged workers.
