Yuksudang's Summer Menu 'Nurungji Bankyetang' Surpasses 100,000 Bowls Sold
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Yuksudang announced on the 18th that it has sold 100,000 bowls of its summer menu Nurungji Ban-gye-tang in just over a year since its launch.
Nurungji Ban-gye-tang is a menu characterized by its rich and deep secret broth unique to Yuksudang, tenderly simmered domestic chicken, glutinous rice, and crispy scorched rice. It has been sold since last summer.
The overall sales proportion of Nurungji Ban-gye-tang during last summer was about 15%, similar to the sales proportion of Yuksudang's representative menu, Seoul-style Gukbap. This year, sales increased by approximately 124% compared to last year, receiving more attention through discount events.
Additionally, the moderate portion size containing half a chicken was especially well received by single customers and female customers, which is also cited as a reason for the high sales volume.
