View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is taking steps to activate dedicated spaces where youth can freely engage in play, rest, and hobbies.
The district is recruiting 20 members for the "3rd Youth Space Creation Group" to gather opinions on the overall composition and design of the youth community space "Dingadong 3rd Street," scheduled to open next year in Muk-dong.
"Dingadong" is a space created in response to continuous demands from youth and residents for youth-only spaces. The first two locations opened sequentially in Sinnae-dong last year and Myeonmok-dong this year. Both previous sites were developed based on the operation of the Space Creation Group, and the third branch will also be established reflecting the opinions of the youth users.
Youth aged 11 to 18 living in the area will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to those residing in Muk 1·2-dong and Junghwa 1·2-dong near the third location.
Youth wishing to participate can submit an application form via email (starain7@jn.go.kr) or visit the Jungnang-gu Office Sports and Youth Division in person. The submission form is available on the Jungnang-gu Office website.
The 3rd Space Creation Group will hold workshops four times every Saturday throughout September. Together with space design experts, participants will express their imagined spaces, consolidate opinions, and derive results.
Those who complete more than two-thirds of the program will receive a certificate of completion along with volunteer hours. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to paint their own designs on ceramic tiles to be displayed inside the third location.
