Next Year's CES Requires Attendees to Provide Proof of Vaccination
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The United States' largest electronics show, CES, has decided to require attendees to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination for next year's event.
The Consumer Technology Association, which hosts CES, announced on the 17th (local time) in a statement that it is also considering accepting proof of antibody response in addition to COVID-19 vaccination certificates from attendees.
Next year's CES is scheduled to be held from January 5 to 8 in Las Vegas, USA. CES organizers explained that next year's event will be conducted in a hybrid format, both in-person and virtual. The CES held last January was conducted entirely virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Foreign media reported that this decision came after the Nevada state government decided not to enforce indoor mask mandates if all attendees are vaccinated.
