Gangwon-do Promotes Non-Face-to-Face Creative Support 'Artist Welfare Project'
Support of 500,000 KRW per person for a total of 400 people
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province will launch a welfare project for artists reflecting non-face-to-face cultural conditions starting this month.
On the 17th, Gangwon Province announced, "We have prepared 'Artist-on (Atiseuton)' to help cultural artists who are experiencing livelihood difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic seek a transition to online utilization under non-face-to-face conditions."
Artists who have a registered address in Gangwon Province and can prove their artistic activities are eligible to participate. A total of 400 people will be selected, and each will receive 500,000 KRW in support.
Online content should be video works between 30 seconds and 3 minutes in length. There are no restrictions on device usage such as smartphone filming, and the project can be carried out regardless of special editing skills or abilities.
Applications will be accepted from September 1 until the budget is exhausted. Applicants must submit the application form and video content via online mail.
The video production topics are free, including self-promotion, performance videos, work introductions, and artistic philosophy. The videos will be used in the Gangwon cultural artist database. Outstanding videos will be broadcast on the integrated Gangwon cultural arts channel, 'Gangwon Culture TV.'
