SK Hynix President Lee Seok-hee's First Half Salary 1.8 Billion KRW... Chairman Chey Tae-won's Salary Returned
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Lee Seok-hee, CEO of SK Hynix, received 1.8 billion KRW in compensation for the first half of this year. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won returned his salary from Hynix in accordance with his promise to the members.
According to the semi-annual report disclosed by SK Hynix on the 17th, Lee Seok-hee, CEO of SK Hynix, received a total compensation of 1.86 billion KRW, including a salary of 685 million KRW and a bonus of 1.172 billion KRW for the first half of this year. The company explained the reason for the bonus payment, stating, "We have strengthened our position as a technology-focused company, laid the foundation for sustainable growth, and achieved results in quantitative indicators such as sales and operating profit through management from an overall optimization perspective."
Park Sung-wook, Vice Chairman of SK Hynix, who serves as an advisor as a non-registered executive, received 1.955 billion KRW, Kim Dong-seop, President in charge of external cooperation, received 1.264 billion KRW, and Jin Gyo-won, President of Development and Manufacturing, received 1.175 billion KRW. In addition, Oh Jong-hoon, Vice President and registered director, received a total compensation of 1.038 billion KRW, consisting of a salary of 282 million KRW and a bonus of 755 million KRW.
SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won received a bonus of 1.25 billion KRW based on last year's management performance but returned his base salary. SK Hynix set Chairman Chey’s annual salary at 2.5 billion KRW this year, but since Chairman Chey declared a salary return for labor-management development, no separate salary was paid in the first half of this year.
