Yujinseop Jeongeup Mayor Fully Prepares for 'COVID Coexistence National Support Fund' Distribution

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Yoo Jin-seop, mayor of Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk, has instructed to ensure thorough preparation for the smooth distribution of the "COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund" (hereinafter referred to as the Coexistence Support Fund).

According to the city on the 17th, the eligibility for the Coexistence Support Fund is for households whose combined health insurance premiums for June fall within the bottom 80%, with special criteria applied to single-person households and dual-income households.

As of the end of last month, it is expected that about 94,500 people, accounting for 88% of Jeongeup's total population (107,349), will benefit from the support.

Mayor Yoo said, "The Coexistence Support Fund was confirmed through the government supplementary budget on the 24th of last month, and 250,000 KRW will be paid per person," adding, "Along with strengthening publicity for eligible recipients, hire auxiliary personnel in eup, myeon, and dong offices related to payment to resolve citizens' inquiries and minimize inconvenience."

He continued, "For the sustainable development of Jeongeup, continuous and rapid efforts to improve livestock odor are necessary," and added, "Please focus on efficient project implementation through cooperation among related departments such as the Livestock Division and Environment Division, as well as raising awareness among livestock farmers."

The city also requested continuous management and inspection of roundabouts to prevent traffic accidents that may occur when passing through them, along with public campaigns to promote the correct way to use roundabouts.

Additionally, the city emphasized meticulous attention to major administrative issues such as expanding and developing tourism content encompassing Jeongchon Gayo Special Zone, Naejangsan National Park, Naejangsan Golf Course, Yongsan Lake, and Naejangsan Cultural Plaza, as well as the efficient and substantial operation of agricultural product marketing organizations, reiterating the importance of seamless work execution.
