Gwangju University, Excellence Awarded for 3 Consecutive Years as Work-Learning Dual System Joint Training Center
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 17th that it received an A grade in the '2020 Work-Learning Dual Joint Training Center Project Performance Evaluation,' being selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years.
In this evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea targeting 66 nationwide work-learning dual training operating institutions (for incumbent workers), Gwangju University received high scores in contract company management, training performance, and learner satisfaction.
Additionally, Gwangju University was also evaluated for contributing to the improvement of technical skills of incumbent workers in 110 participating companies through the operation of excellent training programs.
The work-learning dual training project is a Korean-style apprenticeship training system conducted for new employees who have joined within one year.
It is a program that combines on-site practical training conducted by companies and practical theory and office automation education provided by universities.
Meanwhile, Gwangju University Industrial Human Resources Education Center has been striving to cultivate customized local talent by operating the work-learning dual training project for local small and medium-sized enterprises (for 8 consecutive years) and the National Human Resources Development Consortium Training Project (for 14 consecutive years).
