"Vidivici Challenges No.1 Position in China's Cleansing Market with Launch of Mild Amino Facial Foam"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] The cosmetics brand VIDIVICI is challenging to become the number one in the Chinese cleansing market with a new product featuring patented technology.
VIDIVICI, a premium cosmetics brand under Shinsegae International, announced on the 17th that it has launched the low-irritant cleanser "Mild Amino Facial Foam," which uses 100% amino acid-based surfactants, and has begun full-scale sales in both the Korean and Chinese markets.
VIDIVICI has created an optimal combination of surfactants using 100% amino acids and has completed the first patent application for this in Korea. A patent application in China is currently underway.
As Chinese consumers have recently shown increased interest and demand for low irritation and safety, VIDIVICI has focused on developing a cleansing foam with safe ingredients.
According to KOTRA data from last year, about 36% of Chinese women suffer from issues related to sensitive skin, leading to rapid growth in the sensitive cosmetics market.
Seeing that leading imported brands, including cleansing powerhouse Japan, are leading the Chinese cleansing market with low-irritant products containing high amino acid content, VIDIVICI began developing a product with 100% amino acid-based surfactants. To this end, they partnered with Kolmar Korea for joint research and development, overcoming the formulation and cleansing power limitations of existing amino acid surfactants to launch the "Mild Amino Facial Foam."
Amino acid surfactants are derived from amino acid proteins, which are components of the skin, and are ingredients that cause minimal skin irritation. However, when used alone, they are often unable to produce rich foam or high cleansing power, so they are frequently mixed with other surfactants.
VIDIVICI’s "Mild Amino Facial Foam" is a soft cream-type product characterized by rich and gentle foam that does not irritate the skin. It is specially formulated with only three amino acid-based surfactants derived from 21 amino acids that make up skin proteins, providing excellent cleansing and moisturizing effects.
Additionally, applying the recently emerging microbiome science, the product contains prebiotics and probiotics fermentates that help the skin maintain its own health. It contains no artificial fragrances or colorants to ensure safety for sensitive skin and uses only ingredients rated green by the EWG. The product’s safety has been officially verified by receiving the "Excellent" rating for sensitive skin from the globally reputable dermatological research institute, Germany’s Dermatest.
