Seoul City Council Employee Caught Secretly Filming Women at Gym
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A Seoul Metropolitan Council employee was arrested by the police for secretly filming women at a gym.
According to the police on the 17th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul apprehended a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (illegal filming).
Mr. A is suspected of secretly filming female members at a gym in Gangnam-gu around 11 a.m. on the 15th.
Hundreds of photos and videos secretly taken at the gym and other locations were found on Mr. A's cellphone, and he reportedly admitted to the charges during the police investigation.

A police official stated, "For illegal filming charges, sexual intent must be proven, but most of the photos found on the cellphone were taken from a distance while the subjects were exercising," adding, "We will conduct a careful investigation through forensic analysis and other methods."
