Gwangju University Selected as Operating Institution for 'Small Business Online Specialized University'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 16th that it will operate an 'Online Sales Specialist Training Course.'
Gwangju University was the only institution in the Honam and Jeju regions selected as the '2021 Small Business Online Specialized University' operating institution.
The 'Small Business Online Specialized University,' hosted by the Small Enterprise and Market Service, provides specialized e-commerce education courses and practical opportunities for local small business owners to support their online advancement amid difficulties caused by COVID-19.
In particular, the Gwangju University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation is recruiting participants for the Small Business Online Sales Expert Training Course until the 18th, offering various educational programs aimed at strengthening online sales capabilities, training experts, and enhancing self-sustainability.
Eligible applicants are local small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs, with a total of 60 people to be selected through document evaluation and other processes.
The training period is from the 25th to December 15th, held every Wednesday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Upon completion, participants will receive preferential benefits in the 2022 Small Business Online Sales Support Project and can obtain Level 1 and 2 private certifications as Online Marketing Practical Experts.
The curriculum includes ▲ Preparation for shopping mall startup (Introduction to online shopping malls, distribution planning) ▲ Education on platform-specific store entry and operation methods (Smart Store, own shopping mall) ▲ Practical operation of online shopping malls ▲ Product-related job training (category planning, types of products and sourcing methods, product registration) ▲ Product photography and webpage planning ▲ Marketing and promotion plans (Naver advertising, digital marketing) ▲ Strategies to increase sales in shopping malls and open markets (shopping mall data analysis, search engine optimized product registration) ▲ Sales strategies using live commerce and promotion strategies utilizing influencers.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application form from the general notices section on the Gwangju University website, filling it out, and sending it via email.
Na Jong-hoe, head of the Gwangju University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, said, "This training will be a great help to small business owners facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19," adding, "We will do our best to support increased sales and regional economic revitalization through specialized education support related to online advancement."
