On the 16th, the Gangwon Province East Sea Headquarters stated, "Since the Nomura's jellyfish advisory was issued on the 30th of last month, reports of sting incidents along the East Coast have continued."
According to the East Sea Headquarters, the Nomura's jellyfish advisory is issued when more than one jellyfish is found per 100㎡, and 113 sting incidents from Nomura's jellyfish have been reported in Gangneung.
Stings from Nomura's jellyfish cause pain due to their toxicity and, in severe cases, can lead to shock and death.
