Two Chinese Men in Their 20s Sentenced to Prison for Methamphetamine Use and Distribution in 'Drug-Free' South Korea
Court: "Drugs Cause Serious Harm to Individuals and Society"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Judge Kim Cho-ha of Changwon District Court Criminal Division 7 announced on the 14th that he sentenced Chinese nationals A (28) and B (25), who were tried on charges of drug trafficking and use, to one year and one year and six months in prison, respectively.
On May 11, they delivered 1g of methamphetamine via mobile messenger in response to a buyer's request to procure drugs. They also used methamphetamine several times and stored it for future use.
On May 17 and 28, B acted as a delivery agent, handing over drugs to A on two occasions.

Judge Kim stated, "Drug-related crimes not only devastate an individual's body and mind but can also have serious adverse effects on society as a whole," adding, "Considering the circumstances of facilitating others' methamphetamine sales or encouraging drug use, severe punishment is inevitable."
