Yeohan-gu, Director General of Trade Negotiations, Holds First Meeting with US USTR Representative
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] On the 13th, Yeo Han-gu, Head of the Trade Negotiations Division at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, held his first meeting since taking office with Katherine Tai, United States Trade Representative (USTR), to discuss trade issues.
On the same day in the morning, Yeo held consultations on "Joint Response Measures between Korea and the U.S. amid the Rapid Paradigm Shift in Global Trade" at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's video conference room in the Government Sejong Complex.
Both sides discussed agendas for restoring multilateralism such as forming a new trade order in key Korea-U.S. cooperation areas including supply chains, technology, climate change, digital norms, and reform of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
