Coinone Strengthens Cryptocurrency Withdrawal Verification Process to Two Steps
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Domestic cryptocurrency exchange Coinone has strengthened its cryptocurrency withdrawal authentication process to two steps to create a safer trading environment.
On the 12th, Coinone announced that it had enhanced its cryptocurrency withdrawal authentication service compared to before. Coinone explained that the decision to strengthen the service was made proactively to prevent financial fraud such as smishing (SMS phishing).
The service enhancement was implemented by adding email authentication in addition to the existing 'Google One-Time Password Generator (OTP) additional channel authentication' used during cryptocurrency withdrawals. This means that withdrawals must be authenticated through two steps.
This service is available to Coinone customers who have set up OTP authentication. The update was first applied to the website starting at 3 PM on the day and will be additionally applied to the mobile application (app) in the future.
