Krafton Reports 2Q Revenue of 459.3 Billion KRW and Operating Profit of 174.2 Billion KRW... Holds Steady Despite 3N Decline
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Krafton announced on the 12th that it recorded consolidated sales of 459.3 billion KRW and operating profit of 174.2 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year. Sales increased by 7% compared to the same period last year, while operating profit remained at a similar level. Net profit for the period was 141.3 billion KRW, up 17% from last year.
PC game sales centered on ‘PUBG: Battlegrounds’ increased by 23.1% year-on-year to 88.6 billion KRW. In particular, the paying user base expanded this quarter, achieving the highest-ever in-game ARPU (average revenue per user).
Mobile game sales also rose by 4.3% year-on-year to 354.2 billion KRW through various content updates and brand collaborations, with ‘Battlegrounds Mobile’ setting a record for the highest quarterly sales ever.
However, operating profit decreased by 23.3% compared to the previous quarter, affected by increased operating expenses due to acquisitions of new subsidiaries such as Dreamotion, hiring of personnel, and server expansion for the ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ service.

Krafton is accelerating growth with ‘Battlegrounds: NEW STATE,’ scheduled for global release in the second half of the year. As of the 11th, it secured 27 million pre-registrations and will conduct alpha tests in 28 countries including Asia and the Middle East at the end of this month.
