Price Increase and Weight Reduction for Custard and ABC Chocolate
Sequential Implementation from September 1 Due to Raw Material Cost Rise
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Lotte Confectionery is implementing price increases and weight reductions for some products. A total of 11 products will see price increases, with an average increase of 12.2% based on price per weight. The price hikes will be implemented sequentially starting from the 1st of next month.
On the 12th, Lotte Confectionery announced that the price of Custard (6 pieces) will increase by 16.6%, from 3,000 won to 3,500 won, based on the suggested retail price. For large-size products, the price will remain the same, but the quantity will decrease from 12 pieces to 10 pieces. The prices of Lotte Sand (LotSand), Butter Coconut, Zec, Vegetable Cracker, and Harvest will each increase by 13.3%, from 1,500 won to 1,700 won. Waffle Mate, Apple Jam Cookie, and Strawberry Cookie will increase by 11.1%, from 3,600 won to 4,000 won. ABC Chocolate will rise by 25.0%, from 2,000 won to 2,500 won, and its weight will increase from 65g to 72g. Kkokkalcorn will maintain its price but reduce its quantity. For the 1,500 won product, the weight will be reduced from 72g to 67g.
