Muan-gun, Proactive Response to COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund
Four Dedicated TF Teams Formed: Operations, Payment Decisions, Personnel Management, Media Response
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Jeonnam Muan-gun (Governor Kim San) plans to form a dedicated TF to swiftly execute the COVID-19 coexistence national support fund and ensure there are no disruptions in disaster relief payments.
According to the county on the 11th, the dedicated TF is led by Vice Governor Seo Inam, with the head of the Social Welfare Division serving as the general team leader. It is composed of four teams: Operations Team, Payment Decision Team, Personnel Management Team, and Media Response Team.
The COVID-19 coexistence national support fund is a subsidy of 250,000 KRW per person, targeting about 88% of the entire population by applying special criteria to dual-income households and single-person households within the bottom 80% of household income.
For this support fund payment, all staff of the Social Welfare Division will participate to investigate and decide on support fund applications and receipts. The TF will establish detailed execution plans tailored to local conditions based on the implementation guidelines from the central government and Jeollanam-do regarding payment criteria and usage.
The county plans to provide the support fund through various methods such as credit/check cards, Muan Love Gift Certificates, and prepaid cards both online and offline. Given the local characteristics with many elderly and mobility-impaired residents who are transportation vulnerable, the county will operate visiting application and payment counters using the "Euddeum Service Village System" managed by all staff.
Additionally, through operating a telephone consultation center, the county will support the New Town Support Group and each eup/myeon to ensure the support fund is paid to residents without any issues.
The county plans to independently operate a telephone consultation center starting from the 30th to assist residents with applications, payment methods, and appeals. Specific details such as application and payment dates are yet to be determined.
Governor Kim San said, “As this is a difficult time for everyone due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will carry out our work flawlessly so that the COVID-19 coexistence disaster support fund can serve as a catalyst to revitalize the stagnant local economy.”
