Namgu Opens 2nd and 3rd Branches of 'Dahamnkke Care Center' in Second Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju (District Mayor Kim Byung-nae) announced on the 11th that two additional 'Together Care Centers' will soon open.
The Together Care Center is an institution that supports childcare for children of dual-income families.
Nam-gu plans to open the 2nd and 3rd care centers in the Hyochon district and the residential area of Bongseon-dong around September to October.
The 2nd center (100㎡) will be located within the residents' communal living facility in the Jungheung S-Class Liberty apartment complex in Hyochon 1 district, and remodeling work is currently underway.
It is located within a 6-minute walking distance from Bityeoul Elementary School, offering excellent accessibility, and there are a library, park, and playground within the apartment complex, allowing for outdoor activities as well.
The 3rd center will be established on the 2nd floor of the Dreaming Owl Village School building in the residential area of Bongseon-dong. It is just a 1-minute walk from Bongseon Elementary School, making its location highly suitable, and it is situated within a children's protection zone, meaning there are no harmful facilities nearby, which is its greatest advantage.
The 1st floor of the building can also be used as a voucher activity space for pottery and workshops. Additionally, as it serves as a hub space for the Bongseon 1-dong village community project, it is considered an optimal location where children and local residents can gather and focus on communal care together.
Nam-gu aims to establish a total of five care centers this year and plans to accelerate related projects.
